Hello,
I have been reconstructing archer's bracers from the Mary Rose, as well as doing inspired by versions. Some of the bracers, as I am sure you are all aware contain traces of paints and various pigments. There is an article, I have read, with analyzation of the pigments used. Unfortunately I can not recall the title of this article. Does anyone happen to know it? Any similar studies would also be beneficial and appreciated.
Thank you,
Hadrian

Hadrian,
I'll have a look in Before The Mast this evening and see if there's anything in there about the bracers. If not, Weapons and Warfare, the (long-awaited) book of MR's military artefacts, should be available soon (in the next few weeks, I've been told)
