What happened to Netsword?
Netsword seems to be somehow broken. There are indications that forumites have tried to post there unsuccessfully. I just tried it myself - it posted, but with a blank description and no way to enter the thread, just like other recent attempts.

Does anyone know what is going on with Netsword? It has been almost deserted for awhile and now it seems to be dead.
Looks like the host account might have exceeded storage capacity.
Existing/older threads can be replied to but not begun. At some point this past year, there was someone working around the html block and first caused some disruption and if I have gist of things correctly, someone had flipped one switch or another. From an email to him this summer.

Hi GC,

The board has been having problems for over a month now. The problem seems to be that no new HTML files are allowed to be spawned on the host. This causes searches and new threads to fail. The problem is more than likely in the writing permissions on the host server or in disk space allowed to us.

A Google search should work. If you would want to search for puppies at NetSword, you could type the following into Google:

puppies site:Netsword.com

I contacted Wizard about it some time ago, but I think he forgot about it. I'll contact him again, it's been going on for a while now.

It does make my job of keeping Spam out easier though!

Kind regards,

I.C. Koets

Wizard still has the old pages that were removed a couple of years ago, out there somewhere and here are a couple of them

The old Paul Chen chat transcript and more branches to links
http://www.netsword.com/features.html

and some of the old reviews
http://www.netsword.com/weapontest.html

In plying through the off topic subforum, Wizard's thoughts of closing it down had come up, then a bit of revival and a bit of display changes (page/posts). That during a rather long conspiracy 911 discussion.

Cheers

GC
