I recently commissioned Damian Sulowski to make a Geibig type 9 blade with a Geibig type 12 pommel and a VERY long cross. He did a TERRIFIC job. The sword handles like a dream and the finish is flawless. It's a real beauty. I couldn't be happier with his customer service too. Very easy to communicate to and had great suggestions about making this sword better. I look forward to more commissions from him in the future and wholeheartedly endorse him to anyone considering a commission.
The sword is 40 inches total and the cross is a whopping 10.3 inches!!! I've always loved the look of austere swords with very long crosses and this one fits that aesthetic perfectly. The scabbard is very well done and looks great too! All in all, a very good package. I've included a photo of the original sword that this reproduction is based on.

I am very happy that you like the sword and the scabbard. It was my pleasure to cooperate with you once again. Thank you for a very nice opinion.

Greetings

Lucky dog! That is simply stunning...and I mean 'simply' in the best possible way! Understated, yet dramatic all in one package. One of my favorite hilt styles also. Big Grin

Damian---You did a fantastic job of that replica. I believe every sword has a 'soul'--and the museum sword is VERY happy!

Another beautiful piece for you Tim. As you know I'm a big fan of this type as well. How does it feel in hand?

It feels GREAT in hand. The sword has excellent balance. The long cross doesn't get in the way during a swing which had me concerned at first...
