Hands-on lessons in the most important Knightly weapon - the Longsword. Learn the core attacks of the the German tradition - the Mastercuts. Brought to you by Kunstbruder - the Brotherhood of the Art of Defense, a Boston area WMA group.

Sunday Nov. 14th, 12pm to 6pm, a full day of training in the Medieval German Longsword tradition.

Kunstbruder reconstructs Medieval martial arts from period manuals, studying the techniques used by knights and heroes of old. We then train to apply these skills in a realistic manner. Excellent for SCA Greatsword and Cut & Thrus or for expanding your repetoire.

We provide you with all that's necessary for learning the Meisterhau - the Master Cuts of the German School. The Meisterhau:
* Simultaneous attack and defense in one action
* Break any guard your opponent adopts
* Secret Strikes fool your opponent
* Can be applied to any weapon

The day ends with trying out your new skills in coached free play. Be prepared to sweat and to leave a smarter swordsman.
