A Japanese Wakizashi (short sword). The blade seems to be made from a shortened katana and has no signature. The blade needs polishing, however I can just about see the temper line. I can not garantee that the chip close to the tip is not a fatal flaw, but I would bet it isn't. The double fish tsuba is not in good condition and I'm not sure if it authentic. Also not sure how authentic the handle is but the iron dragon design fuchi and kashari are. The fuchi/kashari are worth over £200 alone. The habaki is copper. The sword also come with a black saya, a WWII leather covered saya and a WWII leather tsuka cover.

A very nice project piece! Seperate, restore, replace, etc.
