Is wearing a sword on your back historically depicted?
I did a search on this and came up with little, so, I thought I'd ask some of the "Historically correct" folks here at My A.

I am trying to design a back-worn suspension for a typical two-handed sword. I remember reading somewhere that back-suspended swords were not as popular as movies make them out to be and, not remembering too much about it, I decided to research the topic. Well, there's not too many (Very few that I could find) examples of such a wearing to draw any ideas from.
Is there any information gleanable here? Maybe a push in the right direction?

Thanks for reading,

Murphy
