God hates me.

Just kidding, well done. I was waiting with baited breath for the announcement.

Good joke: I meant likes Roger more, as in quantity and not Roger MOORE, as in the actor. Laughing Out Loud

I'm assuming the joke about Sean Connery and George Lazenby was subtle genius or a complete misread of the intent of my comment. Razz Laughing Out Loud Cool In any case it got me ROFL. Eek! ( And " Face Palm: Need a emoticon for face palm ).

Well, Sonny ran into a few delays, but I finally received the Templar prototype sword yesterday.

It's a very good sword, with its Atrim AT1415 blade and CF scabbard. Sonny added a belt to the mix, which was nice of him, since I don't think it was listed as part of the contest prize. Sonny also recreated the grip and wrapped it with leather that matches the scabbard color. Pommel and guard are stainless, but that's OK. Stainless furniture only bothers me when it's SHINEY.

There is a cross formee deeply inset on the J type pommel. It looks good and is well made, but I have a small issue with it. One would never find such a deeply carved cross on a 13th century sword. Even an incised cross on the pommel would be rare. Of course, any 13th century knight would likely love the Templar pommel, and want to make it his own.

Oh yeah, and the sword handles very well.

Thanks again for the contest, Sonny
