I have been looking at this blade since I discovered the blank blades sold at Albion, and was wondering what some historical ones might have looked like. I would eventually like to get one and hilt it. If any one has any picture of hilts that would be appropriate for this blade could you direct me to them or post them here. When I finally do get my hands on one and begin working on it, I will post the process in this thread. Feel free to include any information that would discuss the materials, construction or anything else about these type of swords. Thanks a lot.

James,
Thanks for that link. I have seen that thread before, but was unsure how to find it again. I am really looking forward to doing one of these Celtic Longswords, because it will allow me to try my hand at a few new skills. I am going to make this sword historically plausible, but I want to add a few decorative bells and whistles.
