For Sale: Cap-A-Pie Haubegeon mod.; Wild Armoury Basinet
This listing has been REMOVED and is no longer active

I have for sale a heavily modified Cap-A-Pie Haubergeon. It is 9mm ID flat rings with round rivets all riveted. I did the following modifications. Widening the arm hole and adding a gore there on both sides with 8mm ID round riveted flat rings. I did taper the sleeve and added one gore front and back in the skirt. The las modification was adding a row 2 rings wide to the rectangular neck opening with 8mm ID flat rings round riveted and solid links directly at the opening. This was according to the neck opening of extant examples from the 14th century as published by the maile research society.

The haubergeon fits me with 105cm chest and a lightly padded aketon. I am 6" 2 and 194 punds, or 185cm and 88kg.

Second is a wild armoury SCA legal basinet with modified bargrill. It is 2mm steel and has a adjustable liner and padded aventail, it has a 2 piece chin/neck strap. The basinet was intended to be used with wasters in WMA training but has been never brought to use.

Asking price would be 210€ for the maile all in plus a batch of wedge riveted and solid links for further customisation.

Asking price for the basinet is 250€ all in.
