Did you buy it? How is it?

Haha, that same seller has a similarly priced Viking sword as well.
I finally got him to ship it to me. Total was $160 and it was well worth it. These are pretty rare and I have no idea what one would go for in an auction. As far as I know, my pics are the only ones of an Austrian Masterpiece on the net. It had a nice layer of surface rust but cleaned up rather well with only some minor pitting in a few areas. Here's my Photobucket album.

No one's going to kill anyone over this. :) This is a great book and people who are serious about their libraries should try to get ahold of this book any way they can. You don't see copies for sale all that often.
Hi Gabriele,

Funny you should mention that ... I actually wondered about posting the link knowing that Chad had one for sale here!

However, like Chad, I thought folks here might like to know about it - the poster had listed it on two other forums, but not this one ... I was just trying to do MyA forumites a service - just like Chad does in tracking down extra copies of rare books for all of us (hint: buy his books, people, so he keeps doing it!).

BTW, the eBay copy didn't sell, so perhaps will be relisted at a lower price, or the seller might be open to offers?

As of this moment, there are still 4 1/2 hours left on that auction. Maybe it will still sell.

Here's a link to the English version on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem...0416860319

No worries. Commerce is commerce. :) If people can get an item cheaper elsewhere, or find a copy closer to them, etc., they should make the choice that fits them best.

My listed price is a little higher than theirs at the moment, but I'm open to both financial offers and trade offers. People are welcome to make me offers. :)
Hi Chad,

Thanks for that ... I'm in a different time zone, and had only seen the Italian page, so had mistakenly assumed it had finished. Anyway, it did finish with no bids; for those who are interested, here's the re-listed English page: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem...0419278779

If you'll read back over this thread, you'll see that it is not wise to comment on ongoing Ebay auctions, unfortunately.
Ah, sorry about that. I can understand the reasons why that might pose a concern. Please accept my apologies.
