I saw this sword up for auction at Live Auctioneers. I don't plan to spend the $2200 minimum bid on one, but figured someone else here just might be interested. http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/7392505

What did interest me was the date and appearance of being actual wootz like material in the blade. Articles about wootz often characterize the method and materials of making it as having disappeared around 18th century. Although it was rare, various sources (bullat, etc) always seem to have produced it. There are even a few currently having moderate success with chemically alloying it and affecting its appearance through various forging manipulations.

Absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence!
