I'm late coming to this party. That is a beautiful Spatha - one which I have been waiting to arrive for the past three years (I have a concept drawing on my PC that I've been gazing at since 2007).

My question is regarding the shape of the grip. In the photos, it appears the grip is round. If so, I would think the sword might take some adjusting in the hand to have it properly indexed. I was hoping it might be more on the oval side, which would afford a better grip and faster indexing (my opinion).

Can anyone who has held the Decurio help me with this question?

Many thanks,

David
