I actually don't know but I can help thinking of JAMES T KIRK Star Trek the original version i.e. T standing for TIBERIUS.
Hey, a " NERD " is a nerd be it a Medieval nerd of a SCI FI nerd ..... there's a lot of overlap there.

One note of caution-- The helm is even heavier on your arm. If you take it into a renfaire, be sure to wear it a lot.
Boy, I leave the forum for a couple of days and find new threads already on page 3! I just want to echo what everyone else is already saying. It looks great for its intended purpose, and you wear it well.

We plan to take it out to the car when it gets too heavy, and I won't wear it for the rest of the time. ;D You're right about it being much heavier on the arm than it is on the head, though. :'P

I'm a Picard girl, myself. I watched Star Trek with my parents when I was little. I was probably the only kid I knew who watched/liked it. But, we're getting a little off topic. :'P

And yes he does fence (Although he seems the butt-end of a phaser rifle lately)
BTW That's a very nice suit of armour, you are probably the only person in the universe who make a great helm look cute and still keep the intimidating 'Terminator' aspect of it : )

This is a down-side?
Actually, what I really love are the little kids who are wearing knight costumes, who want to get their picture taken with me when I'm in armor. You can tell that for some of them, it really makes their day!

Yep, both the kids and girls go crazy over guys in armor. Most frequent questions I and others in my guild get at faires: "Is that a real suit of armor?" [while you're walking around in it], "Is that a real sword?" "Can I hold it?", "Is that sword sharp?" while they're holding it they often try to test the edge. One reason we don't let kids handle sharps anymore.
Then there are the things grown women, with their families nearby, will do to a guy in armor (or suggest) that would get them arrested anywhere else. ;-) It gets weird sometimes and I'm sure all of you have similar stories as well.

You guys think it's bad at a fenn fair? Try a high school!
I once wore my cuirass to school, just for fun, (let's see the dress regulations come up with something against that!)
And literally every single class I walked into, Half of the male population would drop whatever they were doing (like talking to their girlfriend as an example) and promptly take a full power punch right into the breastplate. The other half would find something to hit me with, seeing that their buddy just broke his hand on 16gauge of merctailor. (the nurse was swamped with hand injuries that day).
It was ridiculous. The local dojo group started doing flying kicks into it! No exaggeration!
I don't honestly think that those people realized that it's meant to protect against edges and points, not shoes, fists, and rulers. But thanks to the fact that im built quite similar to a tank, it didn't do much, and made us armour guys look really good!
and another note, the women still love the armour.!

Yeah I sort of saw a little jaw dropping when I wore my armour from a really cute girl.

This is terrific Margot. You manage to make armor look fashionable. I'm going to show this to my wife.
I agree about the helmet - not only is it disproporitionate, but on the positive side, without it you look great and the shock of seeing a pretty face in armor instead of the usual bearded mug will get a lot of attention.
