mmmm. pretty.... I've been eyeing up a very slinky Venetian XVIIIe in the care of Glasgow museums as one of the countless objects I've got to try to duplicate someday.
Given the minor detail that "someday" involves somehow finding the time to do it, barring cloning myself, I can safely say I'll probably be able to start work on it somewhere around oh, April 2nd, 2060... So I'll have to look forward to the dane's release with great anticipation instead...


If I could be cheeky, regarding waxes, can I ask Peter Johnsson, if you spot this, if you'd object to a PM asking about the type of wax and method you're using? I've been getting fustrated with soft-ish green wax, for holding detail, so I'm tempted to go for harder blue, or the very hard CNC-machining waxes (and I'm wondering if that blue wax is that sort), and would greatly appreciate your views. but since discussions of such details would derail the subject matter of such a gorgeous sword, I'll leave that for PMs, if that's ok.
