Hello all, I'm new to the forum but I appreciate the depth of knowledge of its contributors.

My question is, does anyone know of an extant arquebus bag or images of such? I first became aware of this item in a book about Caravaggio, describing the hoodlums of Milan thus:

Quote:

With their gauntlets or arm protectors in their hand and their sword and dagger at their side, arquebus in its bag and its iron balls in thier trouser pockets... they make themselves bosses of the piazza."

This quote is supposed to have been of a contemporary authority. The only web reference I located was in a book about Japanese warfare.
