(I am posting on behalf of John Sullins, but I'm not sure if this should go here or in the Off-Topic Forum. Apologies in advance.)
Hi everyone,
As you know the West Coast Sabre Conference July 17-18 2004:
http://artofcombat.org/public/thespis/Sabre/Index.htm
is getting closer. Unfortunately only 2 people registered for the event. I was wondering if any one is planning on coming but has not contacted us. We need to decide by next week if we are going to go ahead or cancel it due to lack of interest. We need about 10 people to break even. Do you think that this conference is a bad idea? Should we reschedule? Any comments our ideas would be greatly appreciated. If you want to send them to me off list please do so at: j_sullins@comcast.net
Thanks for your interest!

(Posting on behalf of John Sullins)
We, the organizers of the West Coast Sabre Conference, regret to announce
that this years conference set for July 17-18 1004 is cancelled. We did not
receive enough preregistered participants to cover the costs of renting the
space, providing prizes, and instructor travel expenses. We have decided to
postpone this event and hope to hold a similar event in the Spring of 2005.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to presenting an even
better event next Spring.
