|
|
This sword/dagger it's 17" long has an engraving of two men in what looks like medieval clothing. Any ideas on the age or origin of this sword? Any recommendations on where to take it to find more information, Museum or University?
Thanks for your help
Dan

I think this is a Italian hunting knife of the 18th C.

Hello Dan,
the people depicted seem rather a man standing and a woman seated, The clothing seems more XIXth century romantic period. JCH

I think Peter is right. There used to be a collector in S. Calif. that I knew, and he had several of these, all considered Italian.
