The first sword is a British Pattern 1796 light cavalry officer's sword. I cannot find any information on the cutler at present, but I will see what I can find this evening. This pattern was in use from 1796-1821, and is one of those iconic swords of the Napoleonic period. Here are some excellent articles on the P1796 sword.
