helmet spotting: questioning the historical accuracy
Since im lacking a significant amount of literature on historical armours (only have , what, meager 3 books on the subject), i would like the members more educated and experienced on the subject to help me in discerning which of these helmets have a real historical paragon and which are just a work of fancy by the enthusiastic armourers. Not that i really mind fantastic or impossible, i just want a clarification and a possible time period in which it has existed and have been used.

PS i apologise for the bad picture quality on the first piece, the original images were much smaller and i had to resize them.

Here are the two helmets which design i find very interesting:
