Bayonet Identification
Hello. I was wondering if anyone could help ID this bayonet. I picked it up from a World War II section of an antiques store. It is 17 inches including the grip. It has no edge, so I'm assuming it was filed off. "R. de C." is stamped into the right side of the guard; maybe Republic of Colombia? Any help would be much appreciated.

Bayonet Identification
Hi Jason!

It's some kind of Mauser (or Mauser clone) bayonet. It looks like the Czech VZ24, but with reversed edge. Maybe this was an export piece produced in Europe for some South-American country. No markings on the ricasso?
You can look here:

Try Uruguay or Peru.

I was think along the line of a Spanish Bolo Turkish Bayonet.
It has most of the characteristics of a Yugoslav bayonet but not all of them. Based on the markings I think it may have been a S. American contract rifle bayonet but I cannot say from where exactly.
It is Colombian. Found the identical bayonet on a web site, with the exact same markings, except the serial number, of course.
