Long time lurker first time poster.
I have decided to learn the German longsword but I have read that many of the writers (Windsor, Tobler, etc.) have changed their views or interpretations from when they have published their respective works. My question is this: How much, if at all does this invalidate or alter the veracity of their works?
Thanks

Hi Zach,
Congratulations on the start of an exciting journey.
Let me put it in perspective for you. Assuming, hypothetically, that I wrote a book years ago that differed from my current interpretations as, for example, Tobler's Fighting differers from his current interpretations, and assumign that you bought this book and learned everything in it exactly as intended, it would take me about 2 minutes to show you the differences, and from half an hour to several hours, depending on how quickly you learn, to teach them to you.
So if you want to learn German longsword, don't let that hold you back.

I think Mike summed that up quite well.
