Please don't tell me from sheep
Well, now that I'm the proud owner of a Albion Knud it seems only fitting that I make a sheathe for it. My plan, not that there is much plan involved yet, is to make it of highly figured wood. I can handle the wood part, and there are leather workers nearby if I choose to have them make a sword belt but where does one buy shearling (I suppose) to line the sheathe?

The topic heading springs from the almost overpowering temptation i have whenever people ask me where I get the wood to make the furniture I do to answer, "From trees"

Thanks,

Ken
I got some shearling leather from Brettuns Village Leather but I don't think that they have it all the time. I've seen it offered by several leahter suppliers though. You'll just have to poke around on the web and you should find a supplier.
Here's a link to a source. The sh... are raised on an Island in Puget Sound. The skins are not sheared so you would have to cut the fleece to the thickness you need but I think it could be done with a pair of hair clippers.
