We had a lot of people from the various online forums show up at the Blade Show this year. We all had a great time and I was happy to meet each one of you.
Here's some photos of many of us as we socialized and played with the toys that bring us all together:
Vince Evans and Thomas McDonald
David Stokes, Tamara, and Steve Han
David Knutzen and his friend
David Stokes, Tamara, and Steve Han
James King and Darwin Todd and Chad Arnow to the far right
William Goodwin and his son in front of a crowd of forumites
Joe Fults with his Christian Fletcher Redeemer sword
Joe's buddy, Dean, gets ready to kick ass with an Albion Tritonia
Mac and Ron Luciano (Notice Ron's Turcael basket-hilt by Vince Evans)

Hmmmm.....
As I sit here, slowly drooling at the pictures of all that beautiful steel.... the thought strikes me that Atlanta isn't REALLY that far from my corner of Canada.... I mean, comparatively speaking.... compared to, say... England...
Maybe I should think seriously about my vacation time next year...

Patrick,
It was my first time attending the Atlanta Blade Show and it was truly worth it.
Meeting all these great people, seeing all the great swords & swordsmiths was an experience not to be forgotten.

Ah, memories .... it feels like only yesterday ! ( okay, a week ;-)
Great pics, Nathan !
The one with my mouth open will have to go on the refrigerator *g*
Say, though ...... I look pretty darn cool as a Viking .... Hmm, "Mac the Viking", might work ??
Here's a few more for the gallery ................
Sir Nathan paying homage ......
Over at the Albion booth, we here James Williams lamenting .... "No, I don't want a 'Katzbalger', I want a K-A-T-A-N-A " !!!
Mac's fat little fingers getting a grip on Rons VE cutlass !
The hard clam-shells outside protect the soft squishy stuff inside ;-)
"Here they come, lock & load, Harlan"
I could see the Cobb Galleria from my balcony at the Holiday Inn Express ( it's the building with that little triangle thingie)
"Go ahead .... make my day"
Now here's a Viking every mother would love ! *Awwww*
...... Chad, put down the sword ....really, it was just a joke.....Chad, No .... Please, come on Chad ...Nooooo.... Ahhhhh, HELP !!! ....

First, let me say that I really had a terrific time at this years show! It was nice to see so many forumites making the effort to get together. One of the amazing things about the internet is it's ability to allow us global access to areas of personal and professional interest. The comradery and friendship shared last weekend was the result of great sites such as myArmoury. It is always great to see Vince and Grace and of course my west coast brother Steve! This years show was even better, as Mac and Nathan were present, as well as multitude of others. I have attached some pictures I took at the show. As you all know from other post, this show is worth attending. Truly sword and knifemaking craftsmanship at it's best!
Me holding my new Vince and Grace Evans cutlass and dagger. I will be doing a review of this combination on this sight soon!
Mr. McDonald!
Vince Evans holding the double clamshell cutlass he made for me in his right hand, and an original clamshell cutlass circa 1690 in his left.
The picture that started the creative process! Yes, Blackbeard is one of my heroes!
I have not tarried in long journeys over the surface of the sea, nor have I feared the threats of enemies or wild beasts, O strong leader, Maurice, go well good friend; I discern through such sweetness, the beauties of the country life, a safe return and nobility. Lift high the wine vessel. Such things are worthy of remembrance.

A couple of other neat things ....
They were giving away free copies of the new August issue of BLADE magazine in the lobby, and at the entrance way, which has a very nice article featuring Vince & Grace Evans, by Bill Herndon, called "Blades a Millennium Removed" !
(I of course got the Dynamic Duo to autograph my personal copy ;-)
So do pick yourself up a copy at your local newsstand !
*Copyright -Krause Publications
The ever cleaver Nathan Robinson supplied Vince with some really cool postcard handouts, which featured his beautiful VE Lowland basket-hilt, with infomation about it (on the back) ,and links to Vince's site as well as myArmoury !
( I saw many folks with these in hand as I walked the Galleria .... very neat ! )
The front ....
... and the reverse !
Bugei Trading also had an excellent catalog there for the grabbing ..... ( thanks to Steve Han for snagging me one ;-)
