I finished this one up last night.

Blade: 3 1/2 in high speed steel. 1/16 in thick

Grip: hand woven waxed cord.

Scabbard: hand fit maple with woven cord wrap.

Overall: 7 1/4 in

Knife: 7 in.

Sorry for the picture quality, I'll try to get better ones up latter.

Let me know what you think.

I think it inspires the idea of a few native American items I've seen. No clue why. It's an attractive knife, and the sheath is also attractive. Does the sheath have a core at all? How snug does it fit?

The scabbard is very tight on the blade due to the wrap. This style of blade doesn't get a copper collar like a normal japanese blade would so the scabbard must fit tightly at the begining so that when it is broken in it won't be too loose.

It's a nice piece of work. I wouldn't mind owning one for various handy things, but we college folk tend to not have very much money.
