If I were to research the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian, where could I find good biographical info on him? Are there good biographies out there on him?
Thanks!

I guess I should have specified. I'm looking for English-language sources.

Hey Chad, good question. I'm not sure that an English language book is available on this Holy Roman Emperor. Charles V seems to have stolen the limelight.
I did find an interesting-sounding book through a quick search - "Marketing Maximilian: The Visual Ideology of a Holy Roman Emperor"
but it isn't the biographical work you're looking for. I would suggest finding a rather complete book on the Holy Roman Empire and examining its section on Maximilian. Not much help but I suppose that's it. I can also look at my university library and see if they have any old books not available through the net but it wouldn't really help you that much as I live in the UK.

The most recent in English that I know of is by Gerhard Benecke, 1982, it having been more than forty years since the last one. Pretty ridiculous, this lack of attention, if you ask me.
