Khyber Knife Photos
I just re-photographed this, it's the first sword I ever bought, 8 or so years ago. It's a late 19th/early 20th Century Khyber knife that's been refitted with the hilt of an Afghan military sword, possibly at the behest of an officer who preferred something lighter than the standard sword:

You might be able to get a sense of the blade cross-section, with it's strong T spine from the second photo. It makes for a light and extremely rigid blade, but it does seem like it might interfere with cutting a bit, but I've never actually tried with one.

A few more photos here.
Cool! I've never seen a Khyber knife hilted that way. Ever since I read RE Howard's Oriental adventures, I've been collecting Kyber Knife pictures.
Hi,
Nice piece, the scabbard decoration is interesting and looks in good condition and complete. Although not very old it's good to see original/antique items from around the world.
Regards,
Norman.
