I am still surprised Del Tins doesn't sell better. None of the new popular lines of VA or Hanwei have so much designs to choose from. Some of the DT designs are really unice on the market.

Interesting - the same day I post that there are no new Del Tins at KOA, two new models show up: DT5150, a very nice looking Lord of Milan style type XVIII, and DT5141, which resembles Oakeshott's Moonbrand.

I agree with this Luka....given the choice and the if I had the expendable funds....I'd choose another Del-tin in a heart beat.

Having had the honor to meet Signore Del Tin at his shop and commission a custom blade for my wife (Milanese 1500s, ladies rapier) and seeing his "wall of swords" in the entryway..... I was jealous.
I'm surprised his don't sell for more. Considering the Euro/Dollar exchange rate, the generally crappy conditions Italian businesses have to fight through (socialist country).... he could charge it.
I'd probably buy a sharpened Albion or one of the lower end Angus Trims simply because they're more my style, but he does make a lot of blades and other things that not many other people do. The schiavona I handled off the rack in his workroom made me nearly drop a paycheck's worth of Euro in his shop......
Considering I was stationed 25km away, it was tempting!
