|
|
Hi Everybody!
We just finished our Giveaway with an Italian Flair contest!
This contest has two really great Italian-themed prizes:
The contest winners have been chosen!
Here they are along with the prizes that each of them has won:
Brenda McDougall wins the first prize:
Albion Armorers Doge Sword
Douglas G. wins the second prize:
Anelace Dagger / Short Sword
--------------------------------------------------
Take a second and give your congratulations to the winners!
I want to take a moment to remind everybody that much of the cost of these prizes came from donations given by members of myArmoury.com, including a single giant $500 donation provided by a very generous anonymous donor who wanted very much to help another member own an Albion sword.
To review the details of this contest, please visit the Contest Announcement.
Stay tuned for more contests here at myArmoury.com!

Congratulation Brenda and Douglass, you should really like these and let us know your impressions.
You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!

|
|
Nathan suggested I share my response to the news I actually won something.
The only other time I won anything was in 1969 when my name was drawn on a short lived locally produced Rock
& Roll TV show. Lucky me, I won a $50 gift certificate for Bobby Brooks clothes at local department store Meier &
Franks. My one sister was heading off to college in the east so I tried to feel like a winner when I handed it to her.
Worst for me (aside the merciless digs I got at school for winning girl's clothes on TV) was at the time, in the hip
Men's place on the first floor were several of the Spanish "El Cid" wall hangers. I had $20 I'd saved from yard work
and got nowhere with mom, dad or my sister with the idea somehow getting $20 out of the deal, instead being
told "You'll be in High School soon, what do want with a sword?" Huh? I don't think she'll remember, but I can't wait
to tell her this time I won a sword! Finally.

Just wanted to comment on how fantastic the donation by the anonymous donor is.
Whoever you are, you're a legend.

A belated congrats to the winners. The Anelace looks like a nice piece and I have no doubt the Doge will make it's new owner very happy!
