Recently I was commisioned to make a hunt sword for a fellow Golden Age of Pyracy re-enactor. This fellow plays a pirate hunter. A proper sword for such a man.
I figured that at least Glen would like this one so here she is.
The handle is a subtle, but beautiful piece of wenge. I wanted to use antler to be more period correct but I couldnt find the right piece in time for this one. The knucklebow was forged for a 100 year old piece of round stock that was on a early 1900's trolley car. I have pictures of some of the making if you would like to see them. The blade is about 25" and is light as a feather. No need for a large counter balance on this sword. This was made for stage combat use.
