What on earth is this 15th century weapon?
Image of it here: http://www.thearma.org/Manuals/198.jpg

It looks like some kind of super dagger, made from a spearhead. In fact, since the mid-rib/fuller set up looks a lot like it might have been a socket at one point, maybe that's what it is?

From what I found, it shows up in that image only. Considering the jump suits and shields, it might only be a dueling weapon. Reminds me of the Gidbin from Diablo 2, to be quite honest.

Do we have any information about this kind of weapon?

Hello,

Assuming that it's the same weapon being wielded by similarly dressed fighters with similar shields that are shown in Talhoffer then it is . . . . . a club.

Not well drawn but it's outline and indicators of shape match up correctly.

Cheers,
Steven
Yep, its a club. If you look at other images dealing with that particular style of duelling shield (such as those seen in Talhoffer), you'll see other, better drawn versions of the exact same weapon.
Ah, I had a thought that they might be, but wasn't sure. Very interestingly drawn clubs, to say the least.

M.
I believe the club used is shaped just like the melee baton used at a tourney.

The big differences are the facts that the knights are in harness, on horseback, and not trying to kill each other.

Cheers,

David
