Hi all, new - Simple Macahuitl reproduction sword
Hi all,

I'm new, my name is Josh and I live in Texas.

I built this simple "Macahulti" like sword. It cuts through almost anything and consists of a straight steel blade.

It's very simple and is the first weapon I've ever made.

Hmmm... I want a close-up. ;)

What kind of steel? How's the hilt put on? Details, details....
Hi Joshua.

The picture is not showing. Can you put it up again?

Thanks mate.
More "faithful" reproduction

This is a smaller reproduction of an image I saw online. Though in the image, the handle was in the middle, this one is not. - More like earlier versions the "blades" are simply sharpened wood. (A "blunt-force" hit). Probably causing massing head injury.
The blade on that sort of weapon are normally obsidian shards.

M.
Yeah, obsidian shards all the way up each side. And very sharp... Horse-decapitating kind of sharp.
Hey, I quess I kinda missed this topic. I just created a topic for home made weapons. This is just what I am talking about! Who care how they look... its just plan fun to make stuff... right? Nice!
