I picked up one of the Friedrich IV spears here at the myArmoury classifieds. It is a nice spear but smaller than the original.

I can only assume that when they first went into production that they were either saving a bit of money or working soley from pictures without the specs, or the incorrect specs.
Here with other spears, the original would have been about the head length of the Hanwei British spontoon (on our right).
The black one is the currently available forged iron (too heavy but well done) spear from GGGodwin. The short one a Chris Makin slim spear point picked up at another forum..
In a thread elsewhere, Gene Morris was mentioned as a spear hunter since the 1970s. His museum, stats and gallery can be found here.

One might notice the spear he markets is quite purposeful, with a steel haft and complex multi barbed point. That kind of puts the A&A Friedrich in even more of a modern reality check but the A&A is a nice spear overall. Also look at his picture galleries and check out his spear from the 1970s that is about nine feet tall. Quite an extensive tally as well.
