Henry Ahmu -- Rest In Peace, Friend
With permission of his wife, Diane, I would like to inform those
who knew of him, saw his work, or had work done by him, that
on March 24th, 2009, after long bouts with debilitating health
issues, Henry Ahmu passed away.

Until his delcining health became too much of an obstacle, Henry
was one of those craftsmen who worked under most peoples' radar.
Until a couple years ago I had the great pleasure of seeing Henry's
talents and skillfulness improve, by virtue of work he did on several
of my Japanese Style Blades.

I believe today that Henry is in a better place, perhaps even now
realigning and polishing the kissaki of an incredible Japanese Blade.

His website is still up, I hope those who read this will take a look
at some of his works one last time :

Very sorry for your loss.
Thankyou, Bruno. Henry was only 50 years old.
My condolences on losing a friend and I understand your wish to honour him by letting those of us who where not aware of his work to know a little bit about him and those those who did know him to share your sadness.
I am also sorry to hear this, Matthew. Please let me extend my condolences as well.
Sorry to hear that as well. It is sad when someone passes away so young.

Thanks for the link to his work, some amazing work!

Condolences to his family and friends...
Your sentiments are all appreciated, gentlemen.
My condolences to everyone who knew him. We seem to be losing our fair share of craftsmen lately.
I just found this
Henry was quite a good man, when he found he had a Renner Blade, of mine by mistake, He asked if he could mount it. Here is what he accomplished for me. The first of this mount type he had tried. His wife made the bag. My very late codolences to Dianne. Will post pics later. RIP Henry
