Hello all

I'm searching for documented, painted armour from the 15th Century, say 1450-1490. Specifically what colours, patterns and paint types would have been used. I've found the threads relating to painted helmets and would like more information.

I'd also like to find evidence for lining the insides of armour sections to reduce clanking. I have read that some armours have small amounts of leather trapped between plates where the rivets are, but I've been unable to re-locate the information.

Sorry to pop out of lukerdom, but I have a couple of new projects and would like the information to make (or in one projects case, modify) the best stuff that I can.

Thank you
Derek
