Hi guys,

While completing M's Coustille here: http://www.myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?p=164537, and given that I improved my technique a lot in the process, I became unsatisfied with the first grip I did for that first coustille, the one I am to send to my friend tomorrow.

So, gone was the chamois and here is the new one with veg tan leather.

I'm afraid I am also disatisfied with the one I did for my henry V for the very same reasons (chamois "sweats" and tends to leave dye on your hands even month after, depending on what product you put on it to seal it (I use lexol).

I have to say I have seen enough coustilles for a lifetime now Happy

Hope you like it,

Julien

This is rather nice. Do you got any tutorials on how to age the surface and regrip the sword? I just ordered one myself at a really good price and plan to do the same thing. I really like the look of it being aged and old looking.
