I always liked this battle, but never had a good source for exploring it. You know any good book about it in English?

How about "Tannenburg 1410 - Disaster For The Teutonic Knights" by Stephen Turnbull - Osprey publishing?
It's very complete and detailed, but I have NO authority as to recommend it over other books or sources...

Oh, and I don't know if it is of your interest, but it has really great illustrations.

Diego.

I was tempted to write longer, but I will only say that it can pass , as fictionalized account based on "chivalric legends" and ignoring operational-level considerations and all the stuff historian here are trying to debunk for about 20 years. No flow of data from east to west, from what I see. Sigh. :/
Just to visualize amount of the problem some snippet from Polish forums (google translation, not much but gives the idea) 1 2

Another thing: in my post above I made a glaring mistake when stating place of muster for Alliance forces. Sources say that muster for Lesser Poland and Rus (now roughly Western Ukraine) was in Wolborz on 19th June 1410, then marched north to Czerwinsk, where they were joined by forces from Greater Poland , Mazowsze and Lithuanian troops. There Vistula was crossed using boat bridge. The concentration of troops was ended on 2nd July 1410. ( route plotted on google maps )
I'm deeply sorry for providing such inacurate information. That happens happen if youre too lazy to flip some pages, "cause youre remembering it right forsure" Worried

No problem. You corrected yourself. Happy Btw, I read the Henryk Sienkiewicz's Krzyzacy and it got me interested in Polish - Teutonic war. Happy
