Even tanned and dried human skin will not defeat a sword blow or arrow shot......sorry . :cool:
During some periods of Scottish History, I've read that the Scottish would cutoff pieces of a defeated English redcoat and then incorporate these fabric pieces into their targe or dirk as a symbolic "red badge of courage" sort of speak. I believe that it was this similar idea that American Indians would use in displaying the scalps of their enemies. Perhaps I should add that any human leather used as armour was probably just used for it's psychological effects on the enemy. :eek:
