i've decided to improve the leg protection i have,
currently that means this:
http://www.armorymarek.com/katalog/legs/slides/w11%20-%20.html

i'm hoping to add greaves on it and to make cuisses for it so it become somewhat like this without all the shiny details.
having it discussed with a friend of me today, he said the only way i would be able to curve the metals sheets to the round curve of my leg was to use a wals in dutch. however we could make it also out of leather,
the question is, was it done to have leather cuises and greaves in the 15th century for a member of the burgundian army, most likely a man at arms?
and if it were, what sort of a patterns of cuises and greaves were they, for the greaves i figure it could only be a half ons but for the cuises i have no idea. would it be devided into layers like in the link i provided or would it be a sollid piece of leather?

thanks in advance,
hendrik
