The only way I see it working is against low powered rounds using SWC or Frangibles, and anyone who is dumb enough to claim "bullet proof" status based on tests with frangibles needs to be taken out in the street and beaten with a sackful of doorknobs.

Granted, it's all just conjecture on my part, but I find myself at a loss to come up with any other reasonable explanation for their claim beyond mere marketing hype.

Yes Dr. Alan Williams' The Knight and the Blast Furnace is a great book, it shows that quality was quite inconsistent.
