See attached link showing a photo of an interesting Italian Falchion with a human head pommel:

There's a line drawing of this falchion in the following book which shows the entire sword including the pommel:

"The Complete Encyclopedia Of Arms & Weapons edited by Leonid Tarassuk & Claude Blair"

I can't post the pic as I've reached my upload limit.

The line drawing has the following description:
"Falchion, N. Italy, c.1550. Museo Nazionale del Bargello, Florence."

The photo in the above link has the following description:
"Storta Veneto, metà XVI sec. R 89"

I don't read / speak Italian, but I guess the above translated to English is:
"Storta (Falchion) Venetian, 16th century"?

If anyone has any further pictures or information (dimensions, weight, history etc) regarding this falchion please post.

Thanks
