New pattern welding tutorial
I am working on a pattern welded set. A seax and broad sword set. I am doing a tutorial of making them from scratch. Right now I am at the tempering of the blades. I plan on doing the tutorial all the way through finishing the set. This is the 2nd tutorial that I am doing on our website and is far from the last.

Thanks so much for posting this. I'm saving up for a forge and I have been reading, re-reading and archiving tutorials like this for future reference.

Hi, did you know it is extremely easy to make your own forge. There are loads of tutorials on-line, depending on the size there are various ways to make one, you can line a garbage can or coffee can in clay or fire resistant wool or you can stack cinder blocks, etc. a website that has a lot of info on this is anvilfire.com or you can just google making a gas forge :)

I didn't know you made pattern-welded stuff, it is very hard for me to navigate through your site!!!! :\ How much would a pattern-welded sword cost about, and how long is the wait?

The links are in flash. So that makes it a bit hard for some people who dont have flash to view the site. I am working on a solution for that.

As far as cost on a pattern welded sword, it depends on how big of a sword, how many layers, what pattern and blade shape. The wait right now is only about a month give or take a few days. Once our season picks up it will be about a 3 month wait. If you give me an idea of what you are looking for I can prob give you a ballpark figure.

Thanks for looking.

I added a link bar at the bottem of the page to help some people navigate. I only added it to a few pages, but I will add it to the template soon.
I updated the tutorial a little. I havn't had much time to spend on the on the computer as I have 2 large stage combat orders to fill by friday.

I should have more up by the end of the day. If not, then a few days.
