Hi all—

Up for sale is this five months old Angus Trim (ATRIM) /Christian Fletcher Maker’s Mark Type XIII with Flared Shoulders. The grip was redone by Mr. Fletcher in a Burgundy reddish brown. The guard has been modified slightly to a more downturned shape.

I am only selling because I have realized I am more interested in a slightly different era.

This link shows the actual sword as it appears on CF’s site:

http://www.christianfletcher.com/Christian_Fl...lders.html

Blade Length: 32.7 inches
Total Length: 43.4 inches
Blade Width at base: 2.5 inches
Weight: 3lbs 4oz
Center of gravity: 4 inches
Center of percussion: 20.3 inches

Angus writes: “This type XIII is a piece inspired by a sword that seems to be a tweener, a XIII in Oakeshott's "The Sword in the Age of Chivalry" and Myamoury's article on type XIII's. It’s seen as a XIIIa in Oakeshott's "Records of the Medieval Sword"

For a Type XIII, it has a long handle, and midsize blade. In my interpretation, the handle is 8 inches, the blade just under 33 inches. Its a heavy sword, 3lbs 3oz, but the long handle makes it handle very well indeed.”

Finally, a comparison with one of the Type XIII’s in the Met in NYC.

Basically, Gus nailed this one.

Excellent condition. Never cut with. Only displayed.

Paid $575 shipped. Asking $475 shipped. (Conus only) Paypal works for me.

Thanks for looking.
