I was wondering if anyone had any good information/resources on shields? I am interested in all sorts, from scutum to kite, anglo-saxon round to heater and buckler. But besides for books/web info I was wondering if any here had any knowledge on heater shields specifically? When they were popular? Where? How much they weighed? Area covered?

thanx.
