What is the best way to maintain repro edged weapons
Today I wanted to make a sheath for a new repro Damascus bullcok knife. I pulled it out and in only 2 months it's covered with oxidation. I just removed it with WD-40, but I know that is probably not the best thing to do. What it the best agent for caring for repro weapons?

I have read about Renn Wax, Remington Gun oil, and Hanwei oil, but I want to hear from people that really now what they are talking about.
