Hi Nathan,
I would wonder about the circumference of the inside? Most reenactment helms sold in mass are TOOOOO Big. How you plan on padding/suspending it will make a difference also.
The 14 gage is heavy, but strong. The occular would likely need to be hammered away from your nose if the rest of the fit is ok. The spangen pieces look like they may have a void inbetween it and the panel. I would want to know construction technique, and see a pic of the inside too.
Nice helm for the price though. I am not knocking this piece, BTW, as much as trying to help based on my experience.

I had one of the antiqued versions with the mail neck protection. It was very snug on my 7 3/8 head. It was well padded. The goggles fit fine. My guess is that this is the same helmet with less ornamentation. Should fit OK. Quality of the work was quite good.

Hi Nathan
I have a simlar helmet to that design made by a different manufacturer, the specifications
are very similar although the goggles on my one have larger oval eye holes and it fits quite well.
I tried on the antiqued version with the mail neck veil that was mentioned in the previous post
http://www.casiberia.com/product_details.asp?id=AH2190N
it had a looser fit so I'm guessing the model you want might need the addition
of a cotton cap also the antiqued vesion had eye holes smaller than my helmets
but vision was good, by looking a the model you want I think vision might by an
issue as the eye holes look narrower in the periferal than the antiquied version
