Shipping Swords From Canada
To my fellow Canucks,

For those of you who have traded swords before over myArmoury with someone in the States, what's the best way to send one? What sort of documentation do you need?

I called the US Border service, and they told me that so long as it was a replica, it should be fine to send it. The guy I spoke with recommended that I phone FedEx, stating that they'd probably end up handling it when I sent it. However, according to the woman I spoke to at FedEx, shipping a sword to the US is prohibited. I explained to her that the sword in question was a replica, not an antique, and that it had been made just a couple of years ago, but she couldn't find anything in the computer about sending replica or souvenir swords.

So, how do I go about doing this?

Thanks,

Craig

Craig,
I have bought several antique swords from Canada and didnt have a problem with customs. UPS ships from there as well as the government post. I would contact UPS.
Sam
