I bought a bare Albion Knecht blade from a forum member a while back and had it sent to Christian Fletcher to get done up nice and purty! Here are the photos he sent me.....

Beautiful! I really like it. What kind of wood did CF use to replace what Albion used for the grip? Bubinga maybe,or perhaps some less exotic wood?

Wow, he indeed made it look different...

I like it, could I not like it? ;)

Did he paint the wood with something? It looks really nice, and I'm pretty sure that "bare" Knecht doesn't look like that.

I'm not sure to be honest.....it sure looks good to me!
Does have a nice look to it.
Sweet, the wood seems almost tiger striped.
A bump for a blade that hasn't gotten alot of press and is well executed.
I would like to own that piece. I love the Albion Knecht and often had wished I could afford one. Seeing this custom version is a welcome site for sure.
Beautiful rendition of an underrated weapon.

Really really beautiful.
I have to admit Kriegsmesser never fascinated me that much but seeing this work i do wish i could afford one.

Gratz for the owner and all involved makers :o)

Regards
It's kinda funny that this thread got revived because I just came home on Friday from 6 weeks of travel to find this sword waiting for me. It was a lot lighter than I expected and handles great. The "slab" construction of the grip takes some getting used to but feels great. Thanks for everyone's kind comments.
