Took us 3 years to get together again, but we finally did so. Had a gathering("Swordapalooza 2008") at my home yesterday and Bill Grandy, Pamela Muir and members of our group (Roanoke Valley Sword Guilde) came. We grilled out, hung out, did a load of cutting and played a little. Good day, good weather, good friends and new one's met.
A couple were unable to attend, particularly Blake Pogue (CAS Market Dir. & RVSG member) due to the loss of his grandfather...condolences to he and family).
Thanks so much to Bill Grandy and Pamela Muir for making the road trip down and enjoying the day with us.
Cheers,
Bill

Thank you Bill, and your wife Jeanie, for the gracious hospitality. We had a lot of fun. It was too bad more of my guys weren't able to make it: Originally there were a couple others who had wanted to come down, but ended up being too busy. I guess they missed out.
And thanks again for showing me all of those antique sabres! Those were really cool!

I would like to echo Bill Grandy's thanks. Thank you so much to Bill Goodwin and his wife Jeanie. They were wonderful hosts and I had a wonderful day. Friendly people, yummy food, good conversation and plenty of swords.
