Very Cool! I wish I had Peirce's book on me, but its very reminiscent, if I remember correctly, of one in there that Windlass did a replica of a while back, though a little more Celtic looking in decoration.
Petersen illustrated a similar type O hilt in his De Norske Vikingsverd
