Does anyone have pictures of 14th century moorish or saracen helmets? Particularly those that would be considered iron round types. Thanks.Kevin Patrick Molloy

I have some from Leeds Armoury, see my offtopic post on the massive museum pic request thread. They range from 13-17th century (basically the same styles) and vary from the jockey helmet, turban and a few other styles, often with a mail coif. I'll post them when I can, currently still traveling till the 11th or so. PM me and I'll let you know when they can get posted.
I'm guessing by Moorish you mean North African and 'Saracen' you mean Middle-Eastern?
Arms and armour from those areas tend to be rather different because of the their distance apart. AFAIK hardly any North African weapons and armour survive. There is a fair bit of Turkish, Mamluk (Syria-Egypt) and Iranian arms and armour around, but nearly all of it dates from the 15th century onwards.
I took a few pictures at the Royal Armouries a few years ago and have posted the pics on the albums and threads on other forums.
